This is a specialized application that is designed for downloading weather information from an Iridium sat phone while at sea. It is NOT intended for “general” use to get weather data from the web. If you have a web connection it is much easier and simpler to use PredictWind’s web interface.

Although the application is free, it requires a PredictWind subscription to be of real use. If you are looking for “free” stuff go elsewhere.

It does what it is supposed to do cleanly and well. The user interface isn’t quite as intuitive as I might like, but it works.
